Jambay Shrine Drup

The Bhutan Jambay Lhakhang Drup Festival is a unique festival held in one of the oldest shrines in the kingdom, called Jambay Lhakhang. It originated in the 7th century AD under the Tibetan ruler Songtsen Gampo. The festival is famous around the world for “the scared naked dance known as Ter Cham (Dance of Treasures)” and “Mewang” (Fire Blessing Ceremony). Crowds arise to witness a traditional naked dance performed by lay people and local villagers around a bonfire at the festival’s fire ritual cemonany, which is held at night, where you may interact with native people and discover more about their spirituality, culture, and traditions, all of which are portrayed in depth and present a unified image. These festivities attract viewers and produce a stunning spectacle. This tour covers Bhutan’s center and western historical valleys. It now draws a lot of tourists in addition to pilgrims.
