The Cheli la Nature Trek offers a short route with stunning views of mountain peaks like Jhomolhari (the Divine Mountain of the Goddess), Jitchu Drake, and Tsherim Gang. The route passes through pine forests, farmhouses, and rhododendron. The blue poppy (the national flower) is in full bloom during June and July. and leads to Chelila Pass (3700 m) for a scenic view of Paro and Haa valleys. The trek also offers opportunities to visit beautiful valleys like Paro, Thimphu, and Haa.

Day 01: Arrival – Thimphu (54km, 01 hour)
On arrival at Paro airport, our representative from our company will greet you and assist in escorting you to Thimphu. followed by a visit.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit
Lunch will be served at a top tourist restaurant in town, followed by a visit.

Day 03: Thimphu – Haa (112km, 03 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Haa Valley, followed by a visit.

Day 04: Haa Valley – Sagala (05km, 03 hours), Trek Start
The trek commences in the Haa Valley (2670 m), where you follow a dirt road for less than an hour while staying to the left of the villages. A gentle ascent through a yak herders’ camp on the trail on the right side of the settlement will bring you to two distinct trails. (The trail towards the left that goes to the summer yak herding camp and to the border of China is to be avoided.) The final hike to the campsite at Sagala (3,150 m)
Day 05: Sagala to Ningula (12km, 05 hours)
Begin trekking up for 30 minutes to Sagala Pass (3550 m), where, in clear weather, you will have superb views of Mount Jumolhari (7,314 m) and Jitchu Drake (6,989 m). From the pass, walk on the right side of the trail. After making several ascents and descents, walking through the trails of rhododendrons and meadows, you will finally be on the top of the ridge at 4100 m, which offers great views of Haa Valley below. Making occasional ascents and descents through forests of hemlock and juniper, you will reach your camp at 3850 m.
Day 06: Ningula via Kungkarpo pass – Paro (13km, 06 – 07 hours) Trek End
After breakfast, drop briefly before continuing up the ridge, passing through meadows and a yak herder’s camp. From there, we continue climbing to Kung Karpo Sky Burial (4458 m), passing through a stand of large rhododendrons. The Haa Valley is lovely to see as you ascend. Walking up and down from the sky grave, you can see the Paro Valley on the left and the Haa Valley on the right. Kila Goenpa Nunnery may be seen below in an equally lovely vista. Continue down until you reach Chelela Pass, one of Bhutan’s highest motorable passes (3990 m), where our representative will be ready to drive you to Paro.

Day 07: Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest)/sightseeing)
Drive to a hiking location after breakfast. The Taktsang Monastery is perched on a ledge of rock. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche, the second Buddha in Bhutan, is claimed to have arrived in the 8th century flying on the back of a tigress and meditated, where Taktsang Monastery currently stands.
Lunch will be served in the town’s top tourist eatery. followed by a visit.

Day 08: Departure
After an early breakfast, drive to Paro airport for a flight to your onward destination.
