The “JOURNEYS & Beyond tour” offers a unique and enthralling experience to explore Bhutan’s entire country, from the western region to the central, south, and rural eastern regions. The tour takes visitors across Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Wangdue, Phobijikha Valley, Trongsa, Bumthang, and the idyllic rural countryside of Mongar, Lhuntse, Tashiyangtse, Trashigang, and Samdrup Jongkhar, which are enriched with stunning cultural heritage sites, vibrant monasteries, stupas, shrines, fortresses, and countryside of a simple, calm, unpolluted, relaxed, and uncluttered life, avoiding materialistic influences, and its uncharted lands, solitary life, and breathtaking scenery, including greenery, crystal-clear rivers and waterfalls, and majestic mountain ranges. The highlight of the trip is exploring the remote Eastern district, which focuses on nomadic life, livestock, agricultural practices, woven textiles (Bura and Kushuthara), and more.
Visitors can choose to fly from Yanphula Airport (Tashigang) to Paro in 45 minutes or depart from Tashigang Vai Samdrup Jongkhar, Bhutan’s southern border town to India. Alternatively, they can surface and retrace their route to Paro. The itinerary can be adjusted to suit individual needs and time frames.

Day 01: Arrival – Paro
On arrival at Paro airport, our representative from our company will greet you and assist in escorting you to the closest accommodation. an afternoon, followed by a visit.

Day 02: Hike to Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang Monastery)
Drive to a hiking spot after breakfast. The Taktsang Monastery is perched on a ledge of rock. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche, the second Buddha in Bhutan, is claimed to have arrived in the 8th century flying on the back of a tigress and meditated where Taktsang Monastery currently stands.
Lunch will be served in the town’s top tourist eatery. followed by a visit.

Day 03: Paro – Excursion to Cheli la pass – Thimphu (127km, 2½ hours)
After breakfast, drive to Chilela Pass. On a clear day, there is a superb view of Mts. Jhomolhari and Jichu Drake. followed by a visit.
Evening freely wandered the city. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 04: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast, followed by a visit
Lunch will be served at a premium tourist eatery in town, followed by a visit.

Day 05: Thimphu – Punakha (71km, 2 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochu-la Pass (3,088 m). A clear day offers the most spectacular view over the highest peaks of the Himalayas.

Day 06: Punakha – Phobjikha valley (87km, 03 hours)
After breakfast drive to Phobjikha valley, situated in a stunning location surrounded by snow-capped mountains and verdant meadows. It serves as the famous Black-necked Cranes’ winter home.
Explore Phobjikha valley. Overnight stay in farm house at Phobjikha.
Day 07: Phobjikha valley – Trongsa (120km, 05 hours)
After breakfast visit, Black Naked Carne information center and explore Phobjikha Valley. Drives to Trongsa. Followed by a visit.
